Guidelines for Contributing

Anyone can edit or create content on the OSR Wiki, with some restrictions:

  1. You must register and verify your account with a valid email address.
  2. You may only delete content that you have created.
  3. Shelves can only be created by users with special permissions (given to select individuals).
  4. If you vandalize or repeatedly share *inappropriate content you may be banned.
Philosophy & Guidelines

The guidelines for the OSR Wiki are influenced by the philosophies of Wikipedia, such as the Five Pillars and the Wiki Way:

When you share content on the OSR Wiki you are freely licensing that work to the public. No editor owns an article and any contributions may be mercilessly edited and redistributed.

Examples of Inappropriate Content

Here is a non exhaustive list of content that may be deemed "inappropriate".

Quote from TempestMAx: "Hey all. I am generally in favour of anything that encourages or supports people who want to get into this hobby. My only concern is of course that my paywalled content is my main livelihood these days. My position is therefore that as far as I'm concerned you are welcome to share any content or media of mine that's in a public patreon post or in one of the "discussion channels" on discord. Likewise any of the exchanges, apart from the #remixes-exchange. ... I also don't mind people writing assembly guides and tips as long as they aren't sharing my original content. So using their own words, photographs, etc."
